Crank Pulley Yet again
Same old song and dance. New bolt and balancer needed.
Belt and blah blah blah. 1st failure @ 7k , 2nd @ 10,900k
3rd failure @ 11,082 . I should have the dealer order the
parts for the forth failure. just pencil me in 200 miles from now!
One more time and I'm going for a lemon law lawyer.
I'm ripping pissed. What the F@#k.
Anyone know a good lawyer in Long Island NY.....?
Long Island is the Mecca for Laywers!

By the way they don't have to be in N.Y. but just able to practice there.
Here is the search. Take your pick.

New long block at the least, but I'd insist on a replacement vehicle...

Good luck! I have done it here in Florida with no problem from the dealer (wasn't a Chevrolet)

Uh ok this is the third time new bolt, washer, harmonic balancer, and belt.
Oh yeah the Vett tech says this time they used a adhesive as well.
What! There trying to fix my car with crazy glue!

( yeah I know not really but what the hell the thing is a friction
connection do the really think that a adhesive will help?)Better not
be JB weld! 400 ft. lbs of torque sure the adhesive will work. Just slot
the frigging thing and put a keyway and key in it. What a bunch of
bow hackers....Lets see what happens after I pick it up. A few choice
launches and its back to sqeaksville I bet

Stay Tuned.....and If you hear of a murder on Long Island at a corvette dealer

You went 182 miles between your last two failures. That's just incredible! There's no way they could have done this properly. Hopefully they've finally got it figured out by now.
Unless they've changed something, the only fix after it comes loose with the diamond washer in place is engine replacement because the crank is too damaged by the abrasive washer to try it again. Maybe that's why yours keeps coming loose: your crank is now damaged! Sounds like you've got yourself some real fine grease monkeys working on your car!
Maybe it's time to find another dealer?Best of luck...

I can only imagine how depressing this would be if it happened to me.
