so ive been reading threads that say once you install headers/exhaust, you will be able to get close to 20 HP increase if your c6 were to be tuned. how true is this?
i have Dynatech headers and B&B Bullets exhaust. i want to have it tuned, and i totally think its worth the $600 if you can gain that much more HP. you can easily make 400 RWHP now if you have the correct mods.
im in Scranton PA. does anyone know of anyone close to here that is able to tune the new c6's?
If you mean 20 hp in addition to the gain from headers, I think that is a bit optimistic. I just installed TPIS headers, and will have it tuned as soon as my tuner has the software he wants. I didn't do a dyno run with the headers, because I figured whatever it is, that's all I can do until the tuning is available. I know from reliable reports that the headers probably added around 20 hp, and that feels about right to me after driving the car. I think 30 hp is a reasonable estimate of the total gain from headers and tuning.
