Default 2005 Service Manual?

Has anyone ordered and received a 2005 service manual yet? I haven't seen anything to indicate that the 2005 manual hard copy is publically available...I'm beginning to wonder if it's going to hit the street before the 2005 MY ends. (Probably be the same manual in 2006...only the name will change.)

I know that a link has been posted to view the service manual on the internet, but to me, it's inconvenient and similar to looking through a pipe...hard to get the big picture.

Can you repost that link to the service manual? I can't find it.

Thanks.

Mine has been on back-order with Fitchner Chev. It keeps getting delayed for release. I spoke to Parts Bob last week and they are still awaiting the shipment. He has a waiting list on file.

I don't have the link either, and now I believe it's possible I was thinking of an Owner's Manual link someone posted.

If there actually was a service manual link, it must be buried in a thread somewhere...a little cursory searching didn't turn up anything. It appears the CD IS available from Helm (probably what the dealerships use), but costs more than the printed version ($300? ). I think I'll wait for the old technology.

It's not available yet (to the public at least). Go to the chevrolet.com website & search for service manual; you will find a link that takes you to the company they farm retail sales out to & you can sign-up to be notified when it is available.

I ordered mine the end of last month. I was here today when I returned from a 10 day vacation. Two volumes.. Lots of good reading if you can understand the electronic stuff.
