Default Wheel Offset's

What offsets are 'acceptable' for use on the C6. I know that stock is 58mm F, 79mm R. I have seen SSR's with 55mm F, 62mm R. Where (??mm) would you get into clearance issues? The reason I ask, is I'm 99% ready to order my iforged classics and want the largest possible lip on the front and rear wheels. I'm more than likely going with a 18x9.5 and 19x11.

Thanks! BL.

I too am looking to do the same setup, I need to find out what offset will I need to keep it flush with the fender and tuck in as far as possible. Is it the higher the # "mm" does that mean it tucks into the wheel well further?

I put Fikse Profil 13 High Polish on my c6 vert
Front 18 x 8.5 Offset 51 mm
Rear 19 x 10.5 Offset 57

The outside of these rear tires - fall just inside the rear well.
The Fikse rim - falls within the tire - and "rubbing" the curb is less likely (one of the reasons I went with Fikse)

sounds like you need to do factory widths and offsets. for the tucking ?.......

Zero offset - the hub mounting surface is even with the centerline of the wheel.

Positive offset - the hub mounting surface is toward the front or wheel side of the wheel.

Negative offset - the hub mounting surface is toward the back or brake side of the wheels centerline.

the more positive offset you have, the less lip will be on the outside and the further in the wheelwell it will be.

BL - per your comments:

I originally asked for the GM factory set up from Fikse.

Fikse was not able to exacly match it with current Profil 13 design - did not tell me -- and when I saw them on the car, I sent them back for retrofit.

So I ended up with what is listed in previous posting on this subject. i.e. 19 x 10 1/2 versus 19 x 10 for the rear wheels. and 18 x 8 1/2 for the front.

She handles fine with the current set up, and there does not seem to be a noticeable difference in "rear wheel splash" on the rear quater panel.

I intend to enjoy my ride now!
