Not necessary if you can get 92-93 octane at the pump. That small, almost inaudable, snackle, under moderate throttle, is a sign that the ECU has learned your gas octane and is keeping you right at the point of maximum power (within emissions concerns) for the gas in the tank right now.
But if you want to add some octane points to the gas, buying Tolulens and Xylene in 5 gallon containers and mixing it 50%/50% can ameliorate octane worries for about 20% the cost of most octane adders. {Please don't smoke while mixing.
