Default Corsa Install Problem..Need Help...

I had Corsa Sport 3.5" pro tips installed today. Everything went well except that we cant get the drivers side muffler to line up. Called tech support and they said to "play and adjust the H pipe"! How do you adjust a welded part? The mechanic that installed the system claims the pipe is bent incorrectly and suggested that I get a replacement. Corsa will send out a new one tomorrow. Not sure if this will fix the problem, but I'll try it.

Anyone else have any problems with their Corsa installation? If so, how did you correct it?

Frustrating isn't it? I have the single tip Corsa's. One sugestion is to pivot the Corsa pipe, (either pushing the over the axle pipe inward or pulling it outward) where it joins the H pipe-that changes the angle of the muffler alittle. I've been having trouble keeping mine lined up...I just can't get the joint at the driver side muffler to pipe to stay tight. Not sure what to do (I can't pull that wrench any harder). Would like some help with this. thanks James

Yes, Jim, it is! Maybe there is a problem with the driver's side! Mechanic tried moving the pipe in several directions, but the best location would have put it up against a metal shield above the axle (not sure what that was). It would have caused too much vibration, so we left it. I'll wait to see if Corsa sends a parts fix. I'll keep doing this until they get it right!

My friend bcmarly had the same problem with his Corsa Sport. They sent him one side as a replacement (they may have done it twice) and there was still a misalignment. They had to heat and bend the tip to get it lined up.

In a strange way, I'm glad to hear that this is a known issue. I guess I'll contact them tomorrow and ask for a complete driver's side replacement.

Who did the heat and bend? Did Corsa do it or did the installer do it?

Unfortunately the right side of tips are set at more of an upward angle than the left side. I tried replacing the left side, same problem. I then had a new set sent to me, same result. Corsa would not acknowledge a problem and said that it was improperly installed. Luckily, I had ordered them from WCC where they were interested in resolving the problem. The solution was to line up the mufflers first then force the right side tips down to line up with the left side tips. I sent the bill to WCC who promptly credited my credit card for the extra expense. I purchased mine in November, so I'm surprized to hear that the problem has not be solved. Good luck.

Odd...have the Corsa Sport and no alignment problem...fits perfectly. (got the exhaust first week they were released by Corsa).... I do have the BB X mid pipe too...wonder if that has anything to do with it...wouldn't seem so but what is the variable for some fitting and some not

Just spoke to Corsa this morning. They are shipping a new pipe, but they doubt that's the issue. They said that when they hear of this as a problem, they claim it's a lose clamp! I cant understand that because that it would only come into play after the car was driven, not during the initial install!

Here's the latest:

Jim Browning from Corsa contacted me via email and has agreed to send me a new pipe and driver's side muffler. They said they will do whatever is needed to make this right! It's nice to see a company stand behind their product!

I'll update this thread when I get the replacement parts!

I had a problem with my Corsa Sport 4 tip. The box from Corsa contained two passenger side mufflers. Muffler could be installed but didn't line up correctly with the brackets. Corsa sent a correct left side muffer and then everthing lined up perfectly.

That may be exactly what my problem is, too. Did you happen to notice if the part nbr sticker had the same nbrs on both mufflers or were they different?

Mine were labeled correctly too, but that doesnt mean someone mismatched them and then on the wrong labels.
