I lived in texas for 2 years and I know you Texans are proud about your state's size... "everything is bigger in Texas and Don't mess with Texas." However, if Alaska was spilt in two, then you'd be the third biggest.
..and if the queen had b*lls, she'd be the king. what's your point?

Just seeing if I could get a few Texans all fired up. Mission Accomplished. Anyway, I am originally from Ohio and the Buckeyes are gonna whoop up on the Longhorns here in the first part of the college football season.

i'm not all fired up, i can take a joke as good as i can give. oh.. and ps - beat on them longhorns all ya want, i'm an Aggie.
but what i dont understand is...that kind of power..is it only meant for drag racing..cuz i doubt vette can effectively use that power and go around a track?
I am sure a 400 or may be bumped up 500hp vette would outperform this on a complicated track?
Please explain (all other things being equal) how a 600hp Corvette would be slower than a 400hp version around ANY track. No track is all tight turns without some (even short) straights. Assume a professional driver to remove any rookie mistakes. Taking your reasoning to the next level.... Indy cars should detune to lower hp levels to go faster.
Weight would be the only thing, over the front wheels. But I would love to drive a twin turbo vette out of any turn anytime. It would faster at 99.9 percent of the tracks in the USA. Jason it looks like you are having some fun down there in the great state of Texas. When you have a free minute after you get done let us all know!!!

when you are in a parking lot moving 5-10 mph how much of that 600 hp are you using?? Or when floating around a corner how much throttle/power are you using??
where would you use that kind of power??? in a straight line
Thats the nice thing about a V8 with a turbo smooth throttle response and quick spool up time for great overall manors on a track.
how would turbo charge work for road racing for an hour at a time. reliability
If u can find lubbock, tx u can find wolforth. I've been to texas-speed before and I can vouche that they know their stuff. I've been their when I had my 35th anniversary SS but this was a couple of years ago.

Lets see how many 24 hour races turbos have won. Let see Porshe, audi, most prototypes. Now lets look at the rally guys, everyone is running a turbo (3 day events). Lets look at all the oem setups, I think every company has ran a turbo at some time. Turbos are very misunderstood, they do work and make power.
Jason and Trevor and the guys at Texas Speed really know their stuff. I spent a lot of time up front talking to Jason about what I wanted out of my C5 regarding performance and drivability. They delivered perfectly. I have every confidence they will get the tuning figured out on this Twin Turbo setup. I'm curious to see how it goes. I know there will be a C6 in my future and I would like to try forced induction of some sort.
