Ask them if they do mail-in tunning and if so, what do they charge, turn around time, etc. Post, might help others that are interested as well.

The finite number is not what is important. The difference between the before and after (on the same dyno with hopefully the same conditions) is what you need to be looking at (and what most of us here I think are looking for).

Mustang dyno's read low?! I thought it was the other way around??? I got my car dynoed stock on a Dynapack hub dyno and put down 320 rwhp??? The next day, my buddy ran his stock '03 Cobra at the same shop on their new Mustang roller (rated at only 390 crank HP stock) and he put down 356 rwhp??? Also, I saw a C6 with my same mods (longtube headers, Corsa Sports, Halltech intake, tune) put down 374 rwhp on a hub dyno...

I was always told it was the opposite, Mustang/ roller dynos read higher...?

It's hard to compare the before and after using two different dynos regardless of which brand you are using. You can get an "idea" only on how much you have gained.

Still, I am interested in see what you get.

I know all dynos read differently, but my question is that I thought Mustang dynos (those which use rollers/ drums under the cars tires) read consistantly higher than Hub dynos (those which require you to remove the wheels and attatch to the lugs)...?

im not sure about the "hub" dyno but im positive that the Mustang dynos read LOWER than the dynojet dynos. I have been to many dyno sessions so this is first hand knowledge

Ok, but that just goes against everything I was ever told and saw myself. Also, this means I must have a 300HP C6...???

maybe the Mustang Dyno wasnt set up correctly or the vehicle weight wasnt entered correctly...or it wasnt "loaded" (no resistance)

There are 3 dynos that are local to me and ive had many of my cars on numerous times. If you do a search on other automotive forums (corral.net, stangnet.com, svtperformance.com) they will have much more in depth explanation of the differences between the different dynos

heres one ....read post number 10 ----> http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...t+Mustang+dyno

Mustang and Dynojet are both "roller/drums". Dynojet seem to be very consistent shop to shop.

Dynojet will read (w/SAE correction and smoothing @ 3) aproximately 12 to 16% below flywheel HP. Example; C6 @ 336 to 352 HP

Mustang Dyno reads 30 to 35% below flywheel HP. Example; C6 @ 260 to 280.

I have never run on a "hub" Dyno so can't give an opinion.

The dyno I ran on was a Dyna Pak, I beleive. It was mostly used for AWD applications. You take the wheels off, and attatch it to the lugs... All they did is use the back and leave the front as is... I dynoed at 319 stock which, I thought was low... I could car less about my dyno numbers, after all, I don't own a Supra. I just want a base for my mods and also want to make sure I don't hava a "factory freak" in a bad way...

Mustang Dynos try to "simulate" more "real world" conditions, IIRC. Meaning they *do* read lower than a dynojet on the same car/day/time.

Default tune

ok, getting tune hopefullt this friday or sat., its killing me too find out what power making.. as far as a mustang dyno, it is a true load dyno, better to tune on than a dyna jet, but will give you alittle lower power numbers, and I talked to shop about doing mail in tunes, they will give me an answer by this weekend on what they can change, limited on what you can change if you have alot of mods
