I want to purchase headers and high flow cats to go with the B&B bullets I just installed.
What are some of the best systems to gain rwhp?
I found KOOKS 1 3/4 with highflow cats 1400.00
Also WCC 1 7/8 with highflow cats 1600.00
Last LG 1 3/4 with highflow cats 1850.00
Very confused some please help or other suggestions are appreciated.
Does anyone know why Borla doesn't sell it's headers direct instead of going through LG ? Did LG design them and have Borla manufacture them ? Also as asked before - what are the HP claims for Kooks and LG ?

Chris, LG designed the Headers and Borla mass produces them. Expect 35-40rwph from the LGs. I don't know about the Kooks' peak numbers, but the on the C5 the LG headers had better numbers in the low and mid range.
I have had the Dynatech Supermaxx longtube headers on for two months now and love them! As far as rwhp gains, with my headers + Corsa Sports, + Halltech - I picked up about 40-45 rwhp...
I have had the Dynatech Supermaxx headers and Corsa Touring mufflers on my 6-speed C6 for about three months (2,700 miles) and I really like them, too. I have not had the car on a dyno so I have no idea what the power gain is but it is quite noticable from 3,000-6,000 RPM's. It also sounds great with no drone.

blue racer, how much power are you putting down with H&C ???
I have been talking to my mechanic at HP Performance Corvettes and he told me the best system for the 05 is the jet hot coated Grizzly headers with Random Tech high flow cats and whatever catback system sounds best to the individual.
Anyone have or heard of the combo?
I searched the net and companys selling the setup are claiming 50 plus hp gains which is pretty high I think. Any truth in that feed back please.
(The mechanic I am referring to built my 04 gto to 400 plus at rwhp and is the #2 corvette mechanic in the nation according to GM. Just wanted to give a brief history on this mechanic so you do not think he is a joe off some ad).

I don't have either one, LG or Kooks are both great choices. Both have proven power gains..But, for me I will be going with LG simply because they are a completely stainless construction all the way back. When i spend over $1000 dollars I expect it to last a long time and not rust at the Xpipe welds like some of the others I've seen. Add to that LG is local for me and the fact that LG races their car and wins, you have to respect that...

What do you mean by that? Do you have a lifetime guarantee against rust? LG's car looked to be the fasted in the country last weekend.
