Is there a way to add 50 hp to the c6 without voiding any warranty items?
Anytime you add 50 hp you are subject to having warranty claims denied if the warranty failure can be shown to have been effected by the additional hp. For instance, if a transmission, differential, halfshaft etc fails, they can say that the additional hp over stressed them.
You would think so, but the C5 was much more "basic" mod friendly (i.e. better results from intake/exhaust) than the C6 is...GM got better? I just put on Kooks/Magnaflow/Stinger CAI...got about 35hp...auto dynoed at 365 (rwhp). Tuning might get you another 15 or so, so not too bad, but the headers are certainly a warranty issue.
Check this site out, it tell you what you can expect if you mod your car, very good stuff. I took my C6 to BPP in Florida, Ernie and the boys found about 40 RWHP (about 380 or so max power) with full exhaust, CAI and some tuning. My 2003 Z06 is making 405 RWHP with full exhaust, mild cam, CAI and tuning. Good luck in your quest for more go!
AS others have said the headers are going to be a case to case basis as far a dealers are concerned. But you will need them in order to make 50RWHP gain. If it were me and the mods that I have seen net the most I would do the Halltech, Dynatech Supermaxx, and tune it. It will be a different car.
