drove a friend's 05 z51 6 speed 2 runs, same night as my 03 z06.

Both stock tires, stock EVERYTHING, totally.

z06 consistently 12.0's and 116-7 mph

c6 consistently 12.5's and 113-4

definitely noticed a power difference in 3rd, and also had some wheelhop in the c6 hitting 2nd where the z06 was smooth as silk.

It's just amazing you guys without C6s are on a C6 forum and just bash the C6. Your ZO6s just beat everything. My guess it's payback for the ZR1 guys that bashed you!

At LACR I had the chance to run a C6 when my Z06 was stock, the Z was about 3/10's quicker. Interestingly the C6 had over 12K miles on the clock and my Z06 barely has 3K on it now. No bashing the C6 here, I have one

Jschindlers 12.4 and orangeC6's 12.5 is pretty damn fast for box stockers!

location location location, it is also very important in drag racing and your cars performance. On a cool day with a - sea level density altitude your C6 will also fly.

Like zippinzee sez, et's are so dependent on weather, altiutude, air density etc. I race over 2,000 ft above sea level and depending on the conditions can get as bad as if it were 5K!!!! My 405RWHP Z06 could only muster 12.8's last time I raced it

I wonder what running with sticky 17" MT DR's or even Nitto / BFG Dr's would do to help with the pathetic 2.0 short times I'm seeing here.. I would think if we could achieve a respectable 1.6-1.7 60" the E.T's will drop.. Just my .02

I've SOLD my 2001 Lunati Stroker so I AM interested in this as I will have a 2006 MN6 Z51 in my near fu ture..

You ran a C6, not yours I presume? was it a Z51? Was it a MN6? Did the other driver know how to drive his C6? Isn't the ZO6 10.5 compression and the C6 10.9? Was the C6 running hot or were you running cold? Seems like there could be information missing? Wow, if only I can get another 5 Hp would I get 3/10 quicker?

It's not only 5 more horses that got me the advantage, its also the fact that the Z06 weighs in at 3050 with a little over a 1/4 tank and the C6 is slightly heavier. The guys car was a 6 speed, Z51 and he was pulling 2.0 60 fts with stock tires so the guy wasn't too bad a driver.

So again I say - not enough information. So you had a 1/4 tank what did he have? If your going to mention weight what about the difference between the two drivers? And the first 60 ft. doesn't tell me much when you didn't state yours.
Besides all this, this thread asks "Who has the fastest stock C6 unmodified and on oe rubber? Not "My C5 ZO6 is better"

Why do I feel like you want to start something? I was answering your sarcastic reply as to how 5 hp could get me 3/10's better et.

I own a C6, I love my C6. The C6 is a better all around car comapred to the C5 or C5 Z06. I posted what my Z06 ran as a comparison to what the others were writing including what Thanos thought about his C6 running slow and how conditions affect quartermile performance.

I think the question was answered, 12.5 for a Z51 A/4 and 12.49 for a stick Z51.
