outside temp sensor and air conditioning
My C6 is 6 months old with 5500 miles. For the past couple of weeks the outside temp will not be displayed for two to 15 minutes after starting the car. This has occured perhaps 12 times. The problem is that you cannot turn on the auto air conditioner until the temp reading comes on. Took it to the dealer Monday and they replaced the sensor. They said it was initially reading 30 degrees. Same problem started occuring yesterday. I live in south Texas so this is a big problem. Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be that the failure is upstream of the senor? in the processor? There seems to be no way to operate the air in manual rather than auto mode. In my previous GM car I could operate the air in either auto or manual mode. Is this correct?
