My apologies to the 'Vette guys if this doesn't appy to you. But for us LS2 and LS1 GTO owners, the fuel rail cover cuts into the tubing that surrounds the fuel line, and will possibly cut into the line itself over time. If you'd like to look at the thread it's at
Yet another reason (the other being heat retention) why permanently removing the fuel rail covers (Corvette or GTO) is among THE FIRST things to do when getting one of these cars.
I wouldn't worry about it. That seems to be an issue with the '04 GTO, the '05 models w/ the LS2 don't have the same issues. I never had the FRC's on my '04 Goat long enough to notice, tho.

That's because there was not enough room for them with all those extra cubic inches!!

Mine is an '05, and the problem is definitely there. They put a little foam pad around the line for '05, but the foam is already sliced half through (7000 total mile on the car), so it's just a matter of time before it's no different than an '04.
fuel feed line coming from the firewall area is no where near the covers on the C6 so it for us it is a non issue..but thanks for considering posting this.

I guess I could have google'd a pic of the c6 engine bay before posting this. The GTO setup is different altogether AFA the fuel line leaving the rail cover.
