If you read some of the tuners responses regarding the LS2 Edit and/or tuning of the ECM, I believe they've stated that they can code or mask the changes so they don't stand out. Email a couple of the tuners and see what they have to say about detection during servicing and/or diagnostics.

The answer to the basic question is a little complicated. By law, a manufacturer cannot deny a warranty claim unless the modification can be shown to have caused a failure. But in the case of computer programing, so much of the engine's functions are controlled by the computer, it is very likely that the manufacturer COULD deny an engine related warranty claim.
