Default Corsa dyno'd

I had the Corsa touring system installed yesterday - dyno'd it today. No difference and every detail/condition identical. I spent the extra money and pulled into the next bay, removed the conversion kit and reinstalled the factory "H" pipe. back on the dyno - no difference. I now realize I got more money than sense !

V Vette,

The touring kit sounded better - Like a late sixties muscle car normally sounds. Just the mufflers (sports) sounds like a German V-8 only Much Much louder. I don't think louder is better (not with a convertible and you want to listen to the stereo). I believe refined - tuned sound is preferable over a loud - untuned (just plain noise polution is what it comes down to).

Just my 2 cents

Lets face it, these cars do pretty damn good from the factory. Going to be hard to improve a whole lot with bolt ons with a car that already has great performing factory bolt-ons.

I've got the touring and love it. I grew out of loud exhausts when I got rid of my mustangs.

In June's Vette magazine, they have an article regarding the Corsa Touring. On their test car they gained 12.9 horsepower and 9.6 torque. This wasn't a "Corsa ad" either, article written by Walt Thurn who tends to be very objective.

I showed my Dyno sheet to a manufacture's rep. and he noticed a different setting. This afternoon I went back to dyno opperator, with nothing else to do he let me back on the drum for free. This time it showed 9.3 RWHP and 7.1 RWTQ. Not quite what others say they got but Iam not complaining. I knew somthing wasn't right the first time showing no increase. Before all I got was a chirp of the rear wheels shifting 3rd to 4th now I get a good spin. Lets see . . . got one more mod to go and thats it. Any more money and I might as well get the next vette!

Can you describe the setting you had changed? Want to make sure I don't have the same problem when I get mine installed. Thanks!
