cam?

would the cheater cam be a good cam for supercharching down the road.

A&A corvettes uses a standard 224/224 cam for their very sucessful set-ups. I have a friend using a 224/230 xer also working very well. Lets you get some great emissions friendly power N/A while you are waiting for a sc package. The cheater cam will work fine.

My car is going in the shop this Thursday for the Cheatr cam and AFR 205 heads. I'll have a Dyno sheet to post soon... The cam arrived with a 215/232 grind (looks like they bumped it slightly). With the Honker intake and tune, I'm hoping for at least 420RWHP with stock characteristics.

By the way, I'm going to say the Cheatr cam will add 30Hp.... I like this cam because there is really no tradeoff. This cam makes more power thought the entire powerband. Some of the bigger cams make better peak power but you lose low end/street manners.

do i need to put headers on before i put a cam in?

Where would you purchase a cheatr cam from. I am interested in doing a cam swap. I also like the LPE GT2-3. So If I understand what is going on the LS1 cams can be used in The LS2.

No headers required with this cam. It was designed to run with the stock manifolds. (not to say you wouldn't gain more power)
