Default Honker in the (serious) rain

In the last three days we have had torrential downpours in the NYC metro area. Today I got caught in the mother of all rainstorms: National Weather service said rain was coming down at 2+ inches per hour. Was beautiful when I took her out this morning but by 3 PM - my goodness!! Rain just started up (95 degree temp plus swamplike humidity plus late in the day = nasty thunderstorms)
Roads were ponding and rain was in sheets. I actually hid out under an overpass for 15 mins to let the monster part of the storm pass. Drove (slowly) to get home and (unfortunately) despite going through some serious puddles and driving through massive rainfall no problem with intake. When I got home the filter was dry. This was not the kind of weather I would ever venture out in but I was stuck and had to get home. No problems with Honker. My passinger side headlight cover was another story however: lots of condensation. I just hope it drys out without damaging anything. Should I be worried or will this happen occassionally?

Usually driving for 3 to 4 hours with the head lamps on will burn off the condensation in the head lamp
