Having gone to the dealer twice with DBS, I have decided to pull relay 46. (Hope it helps)
Question, Do I have to disconnect the battery cable first or can I safely just pluck out the relay in question?

Just go pluck friend! I never disconnected my battery.
Some have removed #46, but still experience DBS. Think its' a bogus issue.
Just my 0.02 cents.
I don't know...before removing #46, I experienced DBS after only 3 days. After removing # 46 I was able to let the car sit for almost 3 weeks without a problem.

I've had 3 instances of DBS with the relay removed. Dealer has check ok each time. Final they let me use the amp meter at home. I worked on it all last night. (turning every electronic device on…car & house) I still have it hooked up. The car hovers around 16-19mA I can get it stay consistent ay 22-24mA when I turn on my Big screen TV (just above it) ? I jumps to 50mA when I use my other car (NISSAN ALTIMA) remote but then come back down immediately. I don't believe any of this is enough to draw the battery down...but I sure find it interesting how the car reacts to it's external environment.
Anyone else try attaching an AMP meter? We need to help each other out with this...the dealer unfortunatly is not diagnosing this problems

That's great idea!
But you'd probably need a bunch of 6 speed owners with amp meters and a bunch of time on their hands to accomplish that feat. You'd hope that GM would do it for us.
