CAI (cold air intake) - around $300 for 10 -15 rwhp (although some swear that theres no increas others have "dyno proof")
LT Headers - around $1000 a bit more for the whole system with hi-flo cats for about 20 rwhp to 25 rwhp (not including installation)
Cat back system - around $1000 for about 5 rwhp (again, this has been debated on several threads wether or not those gains are valid)
Dyno Tuning - around $500 - 10-15 rwhp
Cam- +/- 500 (but whats truly expensive is the install and that varies) anywhere from 15 to 40 rwhp depending on the heads used and if you care about emmsions or not.
Heads- +/- $1000 same as above
Then theres gears, stroker engines, Nitrous and forced induction.
If you want to drop your et about 5/10's go for a set of 3.90 gears, CAI a cat back and tuning. For more than that you might need to get into heads and cam.
Right now stop light to stop light I would pick your car to win over a 6 speed 95% of the time, specially with the Z51's 3.15 rear end ratio.

Your car is plenty fast And don't forget the other part of the equation is to get the power to the ground where and when you need it most and you have to know how to launch the m-6 just right to get the power to the ground where you need it otherwise you will be left behind just spinning your wheels. For some drivers to get their M-6 to perform like this they end up abusing their manual transmissions end up with more problems and blaming it on the clutch when it is the driver skills that dictate a perfect take off launch.
