Default Accessory 12v

Anyone know where I could find a 'SWITCHED' 12v source near the nav unit. Having some problems with my Aux input by PAC and they suggested a 12v source, just don't know where one is. Thanks in advance

I don't know about near the Nav system , but in the fuse panel under the passanger side footwell, the Heated seats fuse is switched with the ignition.
I used and add a circuit to hook my radar detector up to that fuse.

I did the same thing, based on suggestions here on the forum! Here's what it looks like:

All you do is pull a fuse and put this little device in its place. The top fuse protects the circuit you're adding, and the bottom fuse is the one that came out of the fuse box. The instructions say not to use over a 10 amp fuse, and they also say make sure you test it for power because it only works plugged in one way, so if there's no power you remove it and plug it in the opposite way.

AutoZone. Look in the section where they have auto fuses and the like. Also make sure you buy the one for the smaller fuses (I think they refer to them as mini fuses?) because the same device is also made with the wider blades for the older type of fuse as well.

Hey Pat,

Just double checking...

...when you say "heated seats" fuses you mean one or the other of "driver heated seat" or "passenger heated seat" fuses? Not the "heated seat/wiper relay" fuse, right?

thanks

Pat, worked perfect. Thanks for the clarification.

Bought my add-a-circuit from AutoZone. Plugged it in, tested it, tapped into it. Voila. Very easy to route to as well.

thanks guys
