Most people change their runflats to something a little more performance oriented. However, grippier tires usually means even LESS mileage. If you don't care about performance and want more mileage, look for the treadwear rating. Yours are probably about 280 but I'm sure there are some available in the 320 range.

You should get the Non-Z51 runflats, or move onto some high tread rating non run-flats.. However, I think it'll be easier getting the non-Z51 runflats in the proper sizes.

I am not sure where you live but try Discount Tire. (discounttire.com) I was looking at their website the other day and they had several options from $178 to $316 with run specs from 140 to 400 in both run flat and non-run flat tires. I have used them on C4s and C5s with good success. My Z51 has 11,500 on it and I will need tires on it in a couple of months (which is why I was looking). Good luck.

AFAIK, the only EMT tires in stock sizes are the GY F1 SuperCar tires that they put on the Z51s, and the other GY tires they put on base & F55 suspension vettes. The base tires have a longer treadlife rating than the SuperCar tires.

My Z51 C6 has well over 8,000 miles on it, and the rear tires are starting to get a bit thin.

Ouch!

I was hoping my Supercar Goodyears would last 18,000 to 20,000 miles before I have to get the wallet out.

A lot of C5's around here are using the Kumho tires like Pep Boys sells nationally. They are not runflats but they are cheap and look good.

I have heard this going around in the forum for the last few years but most of these tires and others are not of the run flat type.
