Default 2006 Corvette w/ 6 speed automatic

OK this is my first post and I hope I'm not rehashing a topic that was already discussed (I didn't find one with searching).

I ordered my 2006 Corvette from the local dealer a couple months ago and 5 days before the build date I find out that the dealer messed up the order. Instead of MN6 he ordered the MX0. Ugh. It was already in build stage 4100 so GM wouldn't change it.

The dealer reordered my corvette with the MN6.

The MX0 will be delivered to the dealership this Friday and now I have to decide between the MN6 and MX0. Has anyone driven the 2006 with the MX0 6 speed automatic with paddle shift? I'm having a hard time finding any reviews as of yet. I plan on test driving the MN6 and MX0 but I'm afraid that I'll decide the MX0 because I'm not patient and want to get someones opinion who isn't in my position.

Thanks for any input,
Neal

I have the MN6 and would not trade it for an automatic. If I were you I would hold out for what you want. You are paying a lot of money for this car so get what you want and you will always be happy.

Yes, check the 'C6 General' section, there were at least 3 reviews done during the last 2 weeks on there.

Drive the auto when it comes in and decide then...I assume you've already driven the manual.

Picked up my A6 06 at NCM a week ago and have used the paddles almost exclusively. Very rapid shifts and it won't let you go beyond its capabilities (shows an X in the HUD). For me its just perfect. I just have to find some use for my left foot.

I also enjoy the A6 but if you want the manual...wait for the car you ordered.

You need to do a search and find your "mirror image". A guy posted a few weeks ago that his dealer made exactly the opposite mistake. He wanted an automatic and they ordered a six speed.

I currently drive a 6 speed but one with only 200hp and 190 ft/lb torque so the 6 speed corvette was a natural choice. My wife on the other hand will struggle with the 400hp and 6speed.

I live in North Cali and deal with a really rough commute (30 miles usually takes me an 75 minutes to drive). I will mostly be commuting on my motorcycle but for those days I decide to drive the vette to work or get stuck in traffic on a road trip the automatic with paddle shifters might be a pretty nice option.

When I didn't have the choice it wasn't such a hard decision. Now that I have a choice I can't decide.

I just heard that the MX0 version be at the dealership tomorrow so I think I'll let a test drive and a couple nights to sleep on it decide my new corvette.

Either way I couldn't be more excited to own my first corvette!

Thanks guys for your input!
