Do you really have to disconnect the battery before installing the CAGS override? Probably a stupid question, but I'd rather ask than be stupid.
Thanks ahead of time.
Do you need to jack up the car to put it on? I'm picking my car up in NJ and bringing it down to FL and wanted to put it on before I head back. I'm pretty skinny and was hoping I could just squeeze under the car to get it on.

Jacking is definitely required (see several threads on jacking the C6). I am driving my new car 300 miles home from the dealer on Saturday. The dealer installed my CAGS plug for a modest charge so I'll have it for the slow drive home.

I've got some 2x12 planks doubled up that I use to raise the front of the car to get my jack under it. Drove the rear wheels on them and that was enough height to get it done. You will have to raise it some. Or find a place where there is a curb and that you can put one side up on and the other on the road. The plug is on the driver's side of the transmission.

Much easier if you get the car jacked up. The connection is on the top side of the transmission, drivers side. If you're picking the car up, ask the dealer to do the install....it's literally 2 minutes at most. Just be sure to tie off the loose end of the harness to the tab on the tranny....there's a convenient hole for the tie-wraps that come with the CAGS kits. Enjoy
BTW.....which NJ dealer?

Thanks for the info. I'm picking it up at Kerbeck on Wednesday.

You can if you're two dimensional!
It would be impossible to get under there, see what you're doing and manipulate your arms to do this without jacking the car up. Make sure you follow safe jacking precautions; most importantly get jack stands. If you don't have them yet, may as well get them. If you hang around here long enough, you're gonna be using them!
Newby question... I have the CAGS eliminator and jacked up the car but how in the world do you get your hand on the top of the transmission if that is where the plug is? I was expecting the plug to be on the side and obviously gave up after not finding it.
