Dont consider touch-less for anything more than a spray down for dust, as it will not remove attached dirt. Get out there and do it yourself, its easy and some (like me) say it is relaxing.

We offer all forum members an additional 10% off, just use corvetteforum in the couponcode field at checkout, and carry many great car washes like Pinnacle, DP, and Wolgang. www.autogeek.net

OK, now this is a tech question if I ever saw one....yeah baby.

Seriously wash it but dry it with a leaf blower...no towel=no swirl marks.

scratches and swirls are introduced by rubbing the dirt into the paint thru washing and drying typically. The use of a car wash soap provides lubrication, and the correct choice in towels or mitts will pull the dirt away from the surface. Drying should be done lightly and moving along the panel not circles.

Default car wash...

I have used mister clean car wash.No touch drying and it doesn't spot the car...i haven;t used it on the c6 yet,but it worked well on my black c5!I usually waxed after every wash because the soap they give you tends to strip what's on there. It beats the hell out of no touch car washes!

A leaf blower works great. It gets water out of the nooks and crannies also.

Hilarious...wow....I tried the compressed air and it works if you want to stand there for 45 mins.....anyway....the entiire car takes 10 mins with a leaf blower gets water out of places a towel will never get to....mirrors, door jams, lugs, gas cap area, behind the license plate, rear lights.... As soon as you let me know how it is funny if it works you let me know. Also find a scratch on my 2001 after 4 years of it.

The first time I saw this was at a local detail shop and it was being done to every car there. Car washes also air dry too. Maybe if you try it you would have a car as free of paint imperfections as mine...

I just purchased the CR Spotless system so we'll see how that works.

I forgot to answer the question...

A touchless car wash will not take off most of the dirt. I have even pressure washed my car then swiped my finger across the area, tons of dirt was still on it(the car was a couple shades lighter underneath). After that, I put the pressure washer away for good. I would listen to what Autogeek recommends for washing supplies. I won the wolfgang bucket and grit gaurd from them and It's great at keeping the dirt away from your washing mitt.

actually be very careful doing this and then wiping the finish. Surface and road dirt/debris will be kicked up onto the paint and then scratched across the finish if you spot dry afterwards.

Also note that most compressors actually blow out a little oil while blowing air. As such, you might be blowing oil onto your just washed finish. A leaf blower used exclusively for the car is a great option (dont use it in the yard also as commonly also used as a leaf mulcher and could get sand and dirt in it) or simply use a waffle weave microfiber and carefully wipe along the panel. I am also not that fond of the waterblade as it could grind sand into the finish if you drying car in an area where windy.
