I notice the TB in the LS2 has a very steep change from the inlet area, to where it goes "straight" into the blades. I have a spare (from the WC car), and was thinking of blending this area.
Since the TB is really HUGE compared to the LS1/LS6, I wonder if it is worth the trouble.
I was going to take it a step further and cut a bigger blade on the milling machine. I would then open up the entire thing to the new size blade and blend. The air is already metered so it is a good move.
The thing that really bothered me on the C5 TB that I got rid of was the front edge that is in the path of airflow so I sharpened that to a dull point.
I'll be doing this free one myself. My calipers show it being 94mm when done. The bottle neck is still the MAF and will require a SD tune but weather up will require seasonal retunes.
Porting the throttle body is a very difficult job, that step as referenced was developed to control idle quality, with out the step the blade can wander. Good luck, not worth the effort.
