The conventional wisdom is to get the sport first. If you find it too loud then you can always purchase the touring portion. No loss except you gotta lift it twice. I can recall very few people who got the sports and then went on to get the touring. Its really quite tame. Best price I know of... 817 560 4293 ask for ryan. They are selling the single tip for 900, 950 for the quad, shipping included nation wide.
I have operated the Touring for about 4,000 miles and I am quite happy with them. I also have headers. I am sure that makes a difference but I wouldn't want anything louder than this. The Touring mufflers make a very pleasing sound with no drone at any RPM's. They also make a powerful scream at high RPM's and lots of other good sounds all the way to idle where they make a nice bass rumble. At a 70MPH cruise, we can carry on a normal conversation. Good luck with your choice!
Most customers go for the Sport system but there have been a few that thought it was a little to loud. The Touring conversion kit is available if that is the case.
Just put Corsa sports on my C6. I'm an old guy, and I have to admit, even though it sounds mean, the Sport exhaust may be just a little too aggressive for me (not sure I like the drone inside at idle, load, etc.). As suggested above, I plan to drive it as is for a few weeks and then reevaluate. I agree the touring system is probably too close to the stock system, but an alternative may be to install an x-pipe (Corsa, Magnaflow, West Coast Corvette). The x pipe should tone down the decibels a little yet keep the overall sound a little more aggressive than the stock system. Anybody had experience with this yet?

Havent done it myself, nor heard it, but several owners have reported here that adding the x pipe/mid section did tone it down a little. Particularly the burble.

Have had the Corsa Sports since Dec 04 and love the sound, no drone and no resonance. Just put on DyneTech SuperMAXX Headers, really wakes up the sound!
I'm 63 and love the raw power soound of the exhaust.
I have the sports on my vert and if anything they are to quiet. I had the Corsa indy pace car system on a couple of C5s and this is no where near as aggresive.
If you are looking for more sound than stock but not a full out race car, these will fit the bill.
Be sure and check Tbyrne for your system. They treated me right with their group purchase price and quick shipping.
I have Sports and Kooks Headers and the sound isn't at all abrasive. At WOT the sound gets your attention but at cruising speed they aren't much louder than stock.
