Default Are Fast intakes still 'King' ?

I was surprised to see a number of new intakes at the SEMA show last week for the LS motors. They all were claiming better numbers than the Fast intake. Anyone see any write-ups yet? I was told Super Chevy was doing one next month, anyone else here any rumblings?

Do you know names of the manufacturers and products? I haven't seen anything about them here or on ls1tech.com

EFI was one and there were at least two others-I only swiped my card to have info sent on the others. All were aluminum and were priced in the $450 range. One was slightly taller and had squared off runners-they claimed it had more volume for big inch motors.

I thought the heat sink metal intake manifolds like the lingenfelter attempt was dead in the water.

FYI .. When I talked with Craig @ ET Performance he told me that the FAST intake bolts right up to the ETP heads perfectly with no port matching neccessary!

My experience at SEMA was that the aluminum manifolds that I saw were all referenced for LS1 and LS6 motors. Which required matching to be used on LS2. Unless you saw something different than I, which certainly is possible since the show is rather large.

The heads on the LS2 are the same as those on the C5 Z06. The manifolds of every LS and vortec V8 are interchangeable with no mods other than the coolant lines of the older LS1. The FAST bolts to any of these motors and the LS1 and LS6 manifolds fit the LS2. The LS2 TB doesn't fit the LS1 and LS6 but it fits the heads. There is no porting/matching needed.

Andy at A&A has used the FAST manifold on the ET 215 heads and gotten near 500rwhp on the LS2. The two work well together.

Got to looking a little more and see that it's BBK that has the manifold. They are the SSI series and they claim 12 to 15 RWHP over the Z06 and 18-24 over the LS1.

Professional Products just sent a catalog with their intake manifold. They call it the Typhoon. They 'claim' better low and mid range with matched high rpm power to the competition. They come with fuel rails(apparently have unique rails). They list for $572, either 85mm or 91mm-will take a 96mm also..Hope we see a test with some of these new manifolds.

I can't find anything about this on their website. They do list a 'Typhoon' for a Mustang though.

I don't see it on their site either. The catalog they sent is a 2006, not the 2005 they show on the site. The numbers for the manifolds are: 52060 polished LS1, 52061 satin, 52062 LS2 polished, 52063 satin.
I've nothing to do with these at all-just looking for someone to do a comparrison on them.
