Default Brake Pad Confusion

Fellow C6'ers .. I'm in a state of confusion about my C6 VERT and the brake pads

Here's the deal ...
I have a C6 vert with Z51 package. After 1500 miles, the brakes developed quite a squeak, so back to the dealer. After a week at the dealer the work order states they replaced the front and rear brake pads per PIC3320A. (Part #s: 89060211 & 88964095)

No more squeak but, I seem to have lost some braking power, and I'm not too happy. Back to the dealer the next day (Saturday). Dealer a little confused on what to do, says the tech line isn't open and will call me back on Monday. TUESDAY arrives, and now the service writer (who still seems somewhat confused) states they need approval from GM to perform the PIC (which is what I has already been done). In the same conversation he mentions that ceramic pads are not covered. I ask to speak with the service director and he is out of town for a week (YEAH, RIGHT !). I'm waiting for another call back.

Anywho .. here's my confusion .. when the dealership performed the PIC and replaced the pads did I get ceramic pads, or are ceramic pads yet a 3rd type of brake pads available ??

Are these the (3) pads ?:
1) Z51 Pads that squeak
2) Z51 Pads that DON'T squeak (Part #s: 89060211 & 88964095)
3) Z51 Ceramic Pads

At this point I'm not sure what action I want my dealer to take, and the service writer just doesn't seem to have a clue (or at the least, can't communicate the issue correctly).

So I come to my fellow C6'ers here at the forum ..

When you get tired of this get Hawk HPS pads...that's the 'F' type material and in the 247/575 and the 248/650 series...it will be cheaper and faster to do this than deal with Chevy on the issue...unless your own time is worth 0$...

I too have Z51 brakes and I've noticed a significant loss in braking power(especially in high speed braking) after the pads replacement under TSB. Dealer said that they have installed the 'Ceramic' pads and it will eliminate the noise and the brake dust. Anyway, I'm getting rid of this ceramic 'junk' pads and replacing them with Hawk HP plus pads. I'd rather live with brake noise and dust than the 'unacceptable' brake fades. I can't wait 'til Gene at Fred Beans to release C6 Z06 brake pkg.
