Default ghl installed

just got my ghl exhaust installed sounds nice, but my borlas in my c5 sound loader. I've read that there are two types of ghl, the 2 and 4 tips. But I read somewhere that there are different lengths too. Flushed to body and the ones that stick out. Is one last year model or what?

Just ordered mine today. When they first came out for the C6 they stuck out about 1.5 inches from the rear fascia. They now make them with shorter tips and only stick out slightly. Not sure if you can still get the longer version or not. When I ordered mine I specified I wanted the shorter tips. What tips do you have. It sounds like your not real happy with them. I think their supposed to be slightly quieter than the Borlas. Post your thoughts on sound, interior noise, look, etc. Seems to be a lot of forum members are considering GHL's right now.

Do the GHLs flow straight through the muffler (like the Corsas) or do they take some 180 degree bends before coming out (like the Magnaflow systems).

Designed exactly the same as Borlas, which definitely have 180 degree bends in them.

180*? Looks to me like each pipe has a pair of 90* twists, one before the muffler and one after...

My bad, I was just responding to a previous reply and confused 180 degree with 90 degree.

I like that the exhaust comes out alittle, the tips look real sharp , interior sound is not bad at all. very little drone. I guess it will become a little loader after i burn the baffle.

Would you say the GHL's are only a notch lower than the Borlas. I hope this is the case because as much as I love the sound of Borla Stingers they are a little louder than I'd like it, especially on the inside of the car. Kinda sounds like a big block Corvette with sidepipes. It took me 4 months to decide between Borla or GHL and finally pulled the trigger on GHL yesterday. Now I just can't wait till they get here.

Does anyone know what the U-shaped pipe with the openings on each side of the tips is in this photograph?

Not really a "u-shaped" pipe. It's actually the two pipes that go from the muffler to the existing h-pipe. Appears u-shaped only because of the way GHL layed the components out in the picture. Quality is very high, Welds almost unoticeable, great polished finish.

Anyone know if the GHLs are any lighter than stock? I believe I remember reading somewhere that the Corsas were actually heavier.

How do the GHLs compare to the sound level of the Corsa Sports (lounder or lower)?

Shawn at L.A.P.D. carries them or you can get them directly from Brian at GHL. (see vendor list down the left side of the screen).

I've had mine about a month now and they are so nice. The sound is great when you get on them and the drone - never experienced any. They have two lengths, I opted for the flush look.

Good Luck!
