Hey guys! It was a pleasure to discover this site a few days ago. I couldn't believe all the information it contains. I was just wondering if anyone has had trouble with the heated leather seats in your C6. Just the other day I pressed the button, and the light comes on momentarily but then goes back off. The passenger side works fine. What could I check for before taking it in to the dealership? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Though both heated seats share a common relay, they have individual fuses. Locate the fuse box under the passengar side dash (under the carpeting). Look on the right side of the fuse box and you will see a see a group of fuses mounted vertically. look for "DRVR HTD SEAT". recommend swapping the "PASS HTD SEAT" fuse with this one - then check to see if the heated seat light stays on. If that fixes the problem, insert a new fuse. If not, there may be a short in the switch itself or in the wiring - either case, GM warranty is the route.
Thanks HUSKERIC! You just saved me a painful wait at the Chevrolet service department. The fuse was blown. I checked the heated seat fuse relay that was horizontally located, but I didn't even notice the small black cover on the right side that contains individual fuses for passenger and driver seats. Thanks for the reply.
Thanks HUSKERIC! You just saved me a painful visit to the Chevrolet service department. I checked the fuse that read heated seat, but I didn't even notice the black cover over the set of fuses on the right that house individual fuses for both seats. Thanks for the reply.
