Magnaflow, how does it rate?
Does anyone have the magnaflow complete system with x-pipe. My favorite muffler shop owner bought a Z06, so he is taking off the Magnflows and putting the stock back on for the trade. I have seen this system go for about $1600, and he said he would install it on my car for $1000.00
I am wondering how it sounds and is it worth the price? I want a more aggressive sound, and he said the power felt much better all around!
Should I get this system, or keep looking?

I have that exact set-up and with the stock motor but have a procharger on it. At idle it doesn't sound like much but when I get on it....Sounds Great!(due to procharger) If you want an aggressive sound I would choose another system. Magnaflows aren't for you then.

Hearing it in person is much better but this give you an idea. MagnaFlwo standard systems are mellow and with big mods very tollerable. The MagnaFlow magnapacks are louder more racey.

Outstanding, that is what I want for sound, just a nice little grumble at idle, and a deeper sound than stock. I don't want interior resonance, The sound clips were awesome, thank you so much.

great sound not much increase in performance.
depending on your taste for sound cat backs can fill your needs. As for HP increase it's minimal. Add a set of long tubes, you'll notice a great increase in performance. I think then the cat backs help more in concert with both units. I've got magnaflows with kooks header system. It works great. Along with my cam, tunning, 160 stat. halltech, makeing good RWHP 425.
