HELP! Presently own a 2005 vert, f55, mn6, lg long tubes, high flow cats with corsa sports. Have purchased a procharger kit and will have it installed in 3 weeks
Yesterday I experieced wheel hop for the first time speed shifting from 1st to 2nd. Since I've been reading about blown rears in Forum, I immediately got off it. I am concerned that with the soon to be added procharger, my rearend might be blown for sure.
Experts! What can be done to prevent or mitigate this undersireable outcome? Not drag racing is not an option. LOL

One would have to ask why would you chose a car with independent wheel suspension for a drag race car.
Didn't hear about this. I have a C6 and have gotten wheel hop with it. Do you have a source for this information?
Yes, here's the information:

Emphasis on the word "supposed."
The C5 had it for eight years. One would think that the fancy GM and Chevy engineers would have addresed the problem with the so much better C6.
It is a performance car after all. No one was able to cure the problem in the C5, so if they haven't fixed it in the C6, it sounds like a fundamental design flaw.
