I installed the B&M. I like it very must. A little harder to shift, but very solid. Not sloppy at all. No missed shifts either. The B&M is the only one which the original **** will fit on.
Have the B&M and no complaints...BUT is it better than the Callaway??? Can't help you there. Is it better than OEM..you betcha! Very tight shift and I like
Michael
I disagree. I liked the B&M in my C6 and noticed a big difference in accuracy when driving the car hard (racing).
The B&M is easier shifting than the Hurst imo.
Thanks and no flames please.
These are my opinions only...

I agree. the B&M is all around betterbut in particular the 2nd to 3rd shift is precise and well gated as comapred to the OEM Shifter, Also the requirement to positvely select reverse is a comfort when downsifting to 6th to 5th.
I have asked this on other threads with absolutely no response, so maybe, just maybe, someone can enlightnen me....
What exactly does putting another shifter on the car do?
I keep reading where shifters lessen "notchiness" and helps shift the car better, etc, etc, but HOW?
I understand if the shift rod is shorter, making the throw shorter, but other than that, is there something that I am missing?
I am sorry if this is a stupid question, but I just don't get it.
Thanks.
I don't understand the mechanics of it but it works. I put the hurst shifter in my car and it make the car easier to drive fast. The draw back was the effort required over the stock shifter. The deal breaker was the rattle under hard acceleration. I went back to the stock shift with a new appreciation for it. B & M sound tempting but I'll wait till I can get rid of the Hurst.
Funny thing: When I attended Lou Gigliotti's driving school at Texas World Speedway 3 years ago, the instructor asked who had aftermarket shifters. When some of the attendees raised their hands he said "you guys are gonna have a sore right arm at the end of the day" .
You won't find many people who will say a particular mod is bad after they have spent time and money installing it. This statement is even more accurate when applied to cat back exhaust systems with resonance.
