Insert a piece of Velcro tape --- the soft part --- between any two pieces of plastic that rub and squeak. Its nylon, so it wears like iron and will permenantly stops the the squeak.
I'm having that problem now. I took it to the dealership for repairs. I never had the problem with my two C5 vettes (97 & 01). Very annoying on a 50+ grand automobile.
Yes, there is a quiet but very apparent creak coming from my dash just from normal road vibrations. I pushed all around on the trim to try to see where it was coming from and I was able to stop it by pressing down on the dash itself up by the big center vent.
It seems like it would take a lot of work to get some velcro underneath the dash itself. Much more so than just removing the trim.
Anyone else notice coming from this area? Will the dealer actually attempt to fix it if I take it in, and what are the odds they break something else in the process?
