Over the past few months, I have noticed that if I have not started my C6 vert for three or more days that there is a noticable pause between the time that I depress the start button and the engine starts. Nevertheless, it does crank normally. However, once the engine does turn, a chime rings two or three times but there is no message on the DIC. After that, the engine starts normally every time unless I let the car sit for a few days again. Has anyone else had this happen? Do you think that it may be the prelude to a DBS?
There haven't been any preludes to DBS, and that's part of the problem. They occur so darn randomly. You're probably not going to get DBS from this.
I suspect you have a FOB recognition/interference problem, I get that rarely. Make sure your FOB is not around keys or any other items like your cellphone or even other FOBs.
Maybe for a few days, place your FOB somewhere clearly out in the open, like on the console before starting the car, and see if that helps.
