New guy with a question?
I ordered a 06 Z51 six speed/ black on black/ coupe
I have Melrose LTs and their x-pipe (x-pipe is from Random technology, they teamed up with Melrose) with no cats (No emissions in Arkansas) and LPE Intake at the house right now. Mail order tune will be here before the car also.
My question was? The car should have 380 RWP or so right. Yes I will be running the factory mufflers and tips, want to see how it sounds first with the LTs and x-pipe with no emissions.
Ive got some nice 06 Z06 replica wheels coming for the car in stock 06 wheel size, and a GM Z06 spoiler. Just thought I would share some about my car. I'm 22 and this is my first new car, yes I'm paying for every single bit of it, insurance and all. Yes my mother did have to co sign and the insurance is under her name. Will post pics of car when I get them, if anyone wants pics of the whole LT/x-pipe let me know.

I have a very similar setup (05 Z51 MN6 Coupe Black/Ebony w/ 1SB, NAV, XM, and trans top). The first thing i did was put a set of B&B Bullets on her, and WOW! The change in exhaust note alone is worth every penny. I think you'll find that the stock note sounds fine for most people, but it grows boring after a month or two. I wish you the best of luck in finding the combination of sound and performance that works best for you with those LT's.
If you're on a budget (like i am), the best bang for the buck mods (IMHO) are as follows:
- Lowering the car. All the way down is at most $40 for new bolts from WCC
- Vent screens. Gutter Guards are $4 from Home Depot, and with a little paint and prep you cant tell the difference.
- Painted calipers. The kit is $13 from advance auto, and i think they look great. you just have to take your time and do it right.
- Brake Light Pulser. The module is about $30 (you can do a search and find the mnfr). dont get the corvette specific one, its an extra $20 for some plugs, when the wiring isnt that difficult to begin with.
Congratulations for being on of the youngest members on the forum. I am only 20 (yes, i pay for everything, insurance, tax, payments, etc. and without cosigners) and absolutely love owning my corvette.

Not trying to hi-jack the thread, BUT TAG-D IT, I am in Dulles as well and have just ordered a new 06 Coupe (when I get it, well that depends on the Z51 allocations).
Anyway, hit me up with a PM and let me know any places that you get your work done (aka good dealer service dept, etc)

Congrats on the car and welcome to the forum.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Ordered a Z51 Back at the end of Sept, delivered first week of November.
Find yourself a better dealer.
Had jet hot coated headers on my 99 SS camaro liked them alot. Heard that jet hot teamed up with Melrose. Looked melrose up and I liked their history and how they made GM race headers for the ASA cars. Really couldn't find anyone on the boards with dyno #s so I took a chance and I believe it will pay off. They look awesome, I have their x-pipe to. I wanted a full system that I could hook up to my factory mufflers and tips at first to.
