Default Transparent Top Question

Does anyone know if the transparent top for the C6 is supposed to have any rubber trim on the front and rear edges or is it just the bare lexan that meets up with the seals on the windshield and roof???

The clear top I just bought for my C6 is the same frame/trim as my painted roof, all gaskets and latches are the same as far as I know.

Thanks.... I just bought one from a forum member and looking closely at it, it looks like there's a residue line on the front and rear edges of the lexan where a rubber gasket may have been before..... just want to be sure.

The residue line is from where the packing tape was before. All the clear tops come of the line with this tape in order to insure that the thinner edges are not damaged during trasport. The top should slide in and fit just like the solid top with about a 1/4 in or so slidding into the car's groove towards the hood to hold the top in place.

I got mine from GM parts and there is nothing on it. It justs fits right in like a big piece of plastic.

The front and back are just the plastic top. The only rubber is on the sides, for the windows to fit into.
