Can alignment cause the wheels to stick out further on one side than the other? I just got Z06 wheels and the passenger side wheels both stick out roughly 1/8 in. further than the driver side. Anyone have any advice? It's really buggin' me. And I don't want some shop giving me the run around. Please help!!
Do a search for a recent threads on the Z06 wheels. As I recall, they do cause the tires to stick out about 1/8 further than stock rims, but on both sides. Don't know what to say about it happening only on one side.
Yeah I know the Z06's stick out on all cars but the passenger side actually sticks out 1/8 in further than the driver. It's really odd looking. At least the driver side of the car is okay. Now I just gotta fix the passenger side.

Check the wheel offsets, they may be different. The offset is the distance from the hub surface of the wheel to to outer rim. Maybe you received a mixed set.
Yup. Checked that too. Could it not be the alignment in anyway? It's so weird. It's like the car stood up and moved an 1/8 in over to the left. The car does pull slightly to the right and that is why I assumed it might be the alignment. I just want it fixed
Alignment can't cause wheels to stick out. Maybe there is a spacer or something that was left out on one side?
Why not try swapping the left and right side wheel/tires, just to see if it's the wheels have mixed offsets or there is something uneven in the chassis.

First question: Did it look that way with the original wheels/tires mounted? If it did, you've got big problems. If you bought the car new, I'd get it back to the dealer where you bought it.
First question, did you see the same on your stock wheels. I can see 1/8" difference between the body and the chassis as built because the bulk of the effort at Bowling Green is put into making the painted panels fit and line up as best as possible. Bigger wheels and tires could make it more noticeable. Alignment should not affect wheel offset
Noticed the exact same thing on my C6 when I swapped the wheelset on from the Z06: Left tire stuck 1/4 out from the fender, but the right one was out by 1/2. Couldn't believe it.
Maybe the suspension was designed by a NASCAR guy (turns left always)
either they changed your camber dramatically on one side (sticking out at top, I presume?), or your body panels simply hang unevenly. These cars (as most) are not precision instruments, and the bodies and suspension are usually NOT 100% square and even.
It's looking like a little positive camber on the passenger side but I am going to take it to an alignment shop just to be sure. The wheel does seem to tilt. If it's not alignment, I sure will be heading back to the dealership.

Why dont you switch the left to the right side just to see. That way you will know if its the alignment or the wheel.
