Hi All,
With great pleasure I tell you that things are starting to roll with the brake setup. I've had plenty of rotors for quite some time. Now the calipers are starting to roll in. The problem child is the brake pads themselves right now, but I am working with GM on all of these items to get them to our valued forum members.
Next week, we will be receiving 3 complete sets of calipers, which we already have rotors for. I have 2 sets promised to 2 customers already and the 3rd set will be placed on eBay.
Remember, we are one of the first dealers in the whole country to receive these items. We are on the cutting edge of this stuff so that you may get it first!
I suspect "Gene" isnt' going to provide all the brakes like he acted he was. When people were looking for other sources for the brakes, he told eveyrone he was going to get 200 orders and was going to be the only one with the brakes!! and now he only has 3 sets and one set goes on ebay? What a joke! Glad i already ordered mine through somewhere else...............
Regarding the upgrade to Z06 calipers and rotors...
Does the ZO6 use the same master cylinder as the Z51 or F55 brake setup? If not, you will need to swap that part to optimize your brake setup. Adding bigger calipers with a properly sized MC will only change the pedal travel for the worse.

It can get even uglier if the ABS unit is not the same OR the ABS computer is a different part. I'm not knowlegable enough about the C6 to know if this is an issue, but after 10 years modding 3rd gen RX7s for the race track, I have been there done that modifying braking systems on late model sports cars. I know Stop-Tech has become a very knowledgable vendor for aftermarket braking systems. I would like it if one of them or a GM person would join this thread.

I have looked at the stoptech 6 piston all around setup
And they said there kit works with no problem on the c6
But it is around $4200 for the setup opposed to the under $2k for the c6 z06 setup.
I do not track my car so dont see the need for the stoptechs

Ya' know... ultimately... the base brake setup if FINE for street driving. There really is no reason to upgrade. I would venture to say in club level autocrossing (not ProSolo level) you will not need an upgrade as the rententive heat is not there. Only when you get to race tracks for track days (and even then it will not show until you get into yellow group or above) will you see a huge difference in brkae systems.
Most people just love to have the cool upgrades for their sigs. Nothing wrong with that, but I'd hate to see a system with LOWER braking performance just for the sake of looks.

Yody - Do you mind telling us where you ordered them.....and if they were received?

Enjoy!
Here are a couple pics to get you guys revved up.
Geez Gene - what gives? I'm with everyone else on this; why even post you are putting them on ebay?
As a VP of Marketing - this "Marketing" move isn't a very good thing. If you want to drum up "Fred Beans/Gene Culley" support you should raffle them off and give the money to St. Judes. You could get your "money" into them and build a good message around "Fred Beans" - but putting them on ebay and not even mentioning you might donate some of the selling price to charity.
Finally, I realize you provide a great discount on part's - but I'm sure others are willing to spend a few more dollars to buy from someone else when you blatently swing this in our face.
