I use Scotch 33 electrical tape, but probably any type of tape will work other than masking tape. If you don't use something the rough surface of the fuel line brading will knock off the paint on the edges. When I had my headers installed at LG Motorsports, they tried to do it without anything and did scratch up the edges. I had some touch up paint and they touched it up, but I still know it is there. You would think they would be aware of something like that with as many engines they work on? From now on I will make sure anyone removing then is aware.

I didn't want to hastle with it so I went by the dealer and in about two minutes the tech disconnected the fuel line using a special little tool and it was done. It helps to make friends with the techs.
