Got my 05 A4 back from A&A Corvettes today. 392rwhp. This may not sound like a lot, but what a difference. I have to be very careful in the turns. Even with Competitive Mode the rear wheels were slipping out a little when I stepped on it. Acceleration is amazing. I can't imagine what a 500hp car would be like. I put it in first gear at a stop sign and just sat there spinning the wheels the first time. There's a whole lot I need to learn, but I will enjoy every minute. Mods were Stinger CAI, LG longtube headers, mild cam, ported heads, and tuning. With the existing Corsa Sports this car has a much louder sound. The idle is a little more noticeable than stock, but it is still relatively tame. Tomorrow I drive it home 300 miles. Should be mucho fun.

Sounds like a lot to me. Pretty select group of cars that are going to pull harder. Have fun.

Seems to be a strong 392rwhp. Enjoy!

Nice numbers. Should be streetable with plenty of power.

Andy and Charlie are a couple of good guys that know what their doing. I just picked up my stroker from A&A last week. (518/498)
A&A are the best tuners on the west coast.

Enjoy........

No offense, but how is it A&A only got 392hp out of your car with " Stinger CAI, LG longtube headers, mild cam, ported heads, and tuning"?

They got 393hp out of a C6 with only CAI, LG headers & GHL catback? ...and this they claimed without touching the internals of the engine.

Need some serious explaining there. With the head and cam setup I expect a little more. But, I still stay good numbers even with that setup.

Seems a bit light to me too. 40 or 50hp at the most.

You should get 25 or 30 with headers and a tune alone.
What cam and who's heads?

Quite a bit more. A&A also commented 400hp was possible with 93 oct gas; they were using 91 oct as I recall.

Its an A4. They have significantly more parasitic loss on the dyno. A 392rwhp A4 might be around 440rwhp in a stick.

Also, the other car that got 393 was a freak (something was off in the correction, IMO). Most people get no better than low 370s with the intake, headers, and tune. Even so, thses number seem low to me as well. I would expect 415+ with all this stuff, even on an A4, or 390s without the headers.

Whose heads and what cam were used?

In any case, thanks for sharing and that the car feels great.

My 6 sp car is a lil low but made 404 with headers and a cam. Heads will get a conservative 30rwhp?.? 434 rwhp is 397rwhp in an automatic.

The numbers do look a little light. A friend of mine went to A&A today for a retune and ended up at 410 rwhp (Kooks, Magnaflows, Cam 224/228) 6 speed Z-51

I called Andy and asked about the aforementioned car. It is an a4 and the cam is 216/220. Andy said the costomer wanted something completely smoggable.

Light tune, smaller cam.

I think he'll enjoy the new power

Oh well! This seems to explain everything.
