Intake, Headers, CatBack and Heatmaster
I wanted to post an experience I had this week with my purchase, install and after experience.
1st thing is - I did this 50% for power, 50% for sound/driving experience
1. Corsa Sport went on about two weeks ago.
I made an appointment with LG Motorsports last week to get headers on my car this week. After some hesitation and some advice, I pm'd Lou on here and via EMAIL. He called and drop'd his cell phone number on me so I called him. After about 20minutes of chatting and some reassurance regarding the "tune" I loaded up vette in my trailer and like a baby, headed out. First stop, gas, American Express thought my card was stolen; so 25minutes later and I'm on my way.
I get there about 9:30am, by 10:21am I'm on the dyno pulling 343hp/348tq. I talked to them about putting on my elite engineering abs plate 3/8-alum. It was WAAAAY TOOOO THICK for the headers O2 sensors; so we put it aside and I bought a LG Motorsport designed Koolmat Heatmaster (something the use on the 'REAL' racecar). I really wanted protection from the heat; moving the cat's helps I'm sure - but I wanted more. Anyway, I watched them do some of the work, but was asked to limit my time in the garage for saftey (Lou you can print this for the insurance people if you like!)
After an hour, I went on a run to get some food and coffee. The gent that took me was cool-kat. He's got a roll-cage in his camaro from a company called Wolf Race Craft.
EDIT: The team at LG suggested I go with NGK TR55s since the plug's come out during the header install. So I did; minimal cost.
I got back and made a few phone callas and by 2pm was ready to go. Overall, satisfaction was great, guys were funny and got some good info on cam and heads package. I'm thinking next up is cam with FAST intake; cam first though.
Mod's were (Dyno3)
LG Headers
Halltech Stinger
Koolmat Heatmaster
NGK TR55 Spark Plugs
Hypertech 160 degree powerstat
Pre Mod's
Corsa Sport
Here are some pics:

The best part is having such good torque across the RPM band.

Our numbers are pretty close for different brands of mufflers, headers and CAI. Peak you got 7.8 more TQ and I got 5.1 more HP.
Did you get the increase in throttle response that you noticed on mine?
Just wondering
Because i was going to buy the plate and do lgs !
Well I'll let anthony or someone at LG go into it in more detail. The O2 sensors are mounted in a cross-way fashion. To get the longtubes snug in the driveshaft tunnel the existing tunnel plate needs to be drilled with about a 1inch hole. This allows the O2 sensors some room so the whole system is very snug/precise to the undercarriage lines.
The 3/8 aluminum is too thick for the stock bolts and the upgraded headers. So I just avoided it. If you are going with LGs you may want check with them first as the 1/4 inch might be better. Two things are gained from the new tunnel plate - rigidity and heat protection. If heat is your major concern the Koolmat is the better option. If rigidity is your concern you should purchase new bolts for the tunnel plate so you are using the same number of threads. AS I understand it, if those threads strip on the tunnel plate you can't replace them - easily.
Lou might have more to say about this; but I'm very happy with my setup!

So yes, 30hp and 30tq is good addition; but it's where it shows up in the RPM band that makes the car feel so much stronger! I'm having to change my shift RPMs to address the rear tire spin going from 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4.

You are right, I had your number in the back of my head the whole time 378 with dynatech/LPE CAI and magnaflows.
As for feel; because I drive mine more often and it's my clutch; it felt like it pulled quite well. I took Ken for a drive and he was really amazed; he's got the yellow C5Z06. His first statement during my launch was "that's really strong" - or something to that effect. IN the car the exhaust sounds tame; but when you are behind it - WOW. Talk abut music.
Overall the TORQUE is just wicked and is the HP. I'm wondering with a LPE intake how much more HP gains my be picked up.
Overall, my money is better spent (as you know the wheel story); the car SOUNDS AAAAAAHHHHHHHSUMMMM and is very strong on the GO-side. Now it's time to get the STOP fixed up!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I knew this was coming; my price was 379.95. Koolmat standard edition is 350.99 - so I figure the extra $30 is the different design. It uses more of the "alien technology" as well.

Best of luck!

I am glad things worked out well. We always try to do our best. I have a great bunch of guys here.
They do good work, and the techs amaze me at how fast they can double team a job. I guess after they installed a couple of hundred LG headers, they have it down pat.
Again, thanks for your business. I know it is a big decision to spend this kind of money on a single purchase but for 30 hp it is very low cost per horsepower.
Thanks again.

I PM'd you a while back and never got an answer, is it pointless to contact you this way?
