Default Worthless Head Thread

This thread will be worthless because I do not have the dyno numbers yet. But, I got the head swap done yesterday and I was out driving looking for problems all day today. Wow. This thing pulls way harder. I have not gone WOT yet because I'm worried about the fuel in my old tune. I can say the power has definetly broadened, whereas before it was very peaky, only pulled after 4k rpm, there is a significant pull now before the cam comes in. It was cold today and I left the traction control on and it was on anywhere past 1/4 throttle. (yes Spinmonster, this is dumb ) Too much power now for the tires.

About the install... I went with MTI 2Es because I could not wait for ETPs and I thought the MTIs would put me over the usable horsepower area anyway... which it looks like I was right. I do not want to take away from the expert installers, but this was a friggin cake walk. The C6 is SO easy to work on. I come from the Mustang world and this is just night and day. Everything went so easily. The only thing that was a pain was getting the alt/power steering bracket off and back on and that really was not that bad. I don't want to take up a bunch of bandwidth but if anybody is considering doing this themselves feel free to pm me and ask questions. I really love working on this car!

I will re-tune the car first week on Jan and I will let you know how she does. I think around 425~440rwhp. Its definetly an 11 sec car even on the factory tires.
