Key Fob

Anyone have problems with there fob already. Mine has started to not work intermittently. The book says the battery will last 3 years. Has anyone had to replace a battery already? I don't carry the key and I am concerned about getting locked out.

Lots of threads on this.The only time I have a problem with my FOB is when I have another radio frequency device in the car. Leave your other chipped keys in the house and don't have a cell phone charger plugged in.

I always carry the key (just in case), too many stories of DBS.

I was having a problem with mine,I charged the cars battery and fob started working again.The only thing I could think of,is cars battery must be fully charged? I hope this is my problem,my car is 1 month old.

FOBS should be named SOBS

My car won't start I have to move seats or pop trunk for vehicle to notice I'm in the car. Has been going on for quite some time.

Why has the problem been going on for some time? If you've read the threads on the subject and tried the fixes, other objects in the pocket with the fob, cell phone chargers plugged in, etc., take it to the dealer. That's what the 36 month/36,000 mile warranty is for.

Key Fob and Cell Phone

My key fob didn't work when it was in the same pocket as my cell phone. I switched pockets and it was no problem.

Mine has worked for 9 months with no problems. I carry my cell phone also.

3 Years??? Boy do I laugh at that. I've had my DSOM C6 for 7 months and had 2 new batteries already. At least once a month I get "No Fob Detected" warning when I get in the car. I usually get out of the car and re-enter a few times before it senses the Fob. My dealer told me that its a first year issue. And what ever you do, if you live in the winter area and store your car for months, don't let your Car Battery die or you'll have many prob's with having to reprogram your Fobs.
