Default Shock Valving Z51

Would anyone know the rebound and damping rates for the shocks on the Z51 package?
Trying to get a feel for whether to go with the hvy duty or sport Bilsteins. Jack French at Bilstein can supply the info on their product.
Have done enough R&D in the past.

Thanks in advance

I don't know the rebound and damping rates. However, someone did post here a few weeks back saying how their Z51 car felt with Bilstein Sports installed. The person was very impressed. My gut tells me you would be more happy with the Sports than the HDs.

Have you considered the Z06 shocks from forum vendor http://www.fredbeans.com/ ? I put them on my base C6 the other week. Rock steady, no suspension float. Yet, not like driving a brick with tires.

Mike, I nominate you to send your Z51 shocks to Bilstein, and give us a full report from their shock dyno. If they come up with something impressive, I'll buy a set!

Dave,
I might just do that while the salt still lingers because I only want to buy them once.
I have had experience dealing with this individual to dial in a F Body and the shocks made more than one visit back and forth to adjust valving, he's pretty sharp, but there has to be specs somewhere for the Sachs shocks on it now.

i have a z51, but will be ordering bilstein sports soon. what i've heard the improvement is quite apparent especially at the higher speeds. they also are said to reduce wheel hop.

Dave, give us a report when you put them on your Z51. I may go that route also sometime in the future.
