Default F55 g's

I have read a lot about the Z51 suspension and the g's which are about 98 if I am correct. What I can't find is the number on the F55 suspension. I know it is lower but is it 93, 94 just curious.

Whatever the differance, the tires are a big factor.

Very big factor. There was an earlier link where a tester compared stock, Z51 & Z55 C5 cars for track times. The Z51 came in first -- but then they put the same tires on all the cars and the F55 came in first.

This simply can't be true, everyone knows the Z51 is better, faster, lighter, more valuable, etc and some come with an emblem too

I don't think anyone knows what the F55 shock option can do g-wise since F55 drivers only take the curves in a rather stately and refined manner. Does the F55 even come with g-meter?

It does, but is uses a special multiplication factor to trick us into thinking our cars are even remotely as good at handling as a Z51.

I'm going to have my tuner reset mine to the real numbers

Good to see someone else who doesn't take this Z51/F55 thing too seriously either For me, the C6, in all its' variations, is the best car that America has ever produced.

98 times the force of gravity??? Wouldn't that tear you limb from limb??? Perhaps you meant 0.98 g's?

Quite true, when you take delivery of the Z51 or Z06 you are issued two pressure suits to handle the additional gravity. With the F55 you get a cane, cuba white shirt, and a bottle of Geritol. Given the F55's tiny sway bars and other downsized base suspension bits, the F55 probably does about .85

That explains why I was only given ONE pressure suit - I've got the base suspension.

How dare you not get a Z51, do you realize your car is worthless?

Well look at the bright side, you didn't waste $1600 on the F55 suspension. Not only is my car worthless, buy I spent $1600 too much on it. The Gertiol helps though

Contrary to polular belief, that's not an oxygen mask that comes with the Z51 pressure suits, it's a containment device for hot air

What CYA-Vett! you have no money left for the fuel line magnets and the Tornado mods

It's true, if you don't buy the Z51, you might have just as well purchased a used Caddie The Z51 is hand tailored to your specifications, the interior is clad in the richest plastic's and finest spoon feed cow hides, the exterior receives the finest hand rubbing from only the most senior of the UAW employees!

Let me tell you, the news gets even worse...Not only do I not have a Z51, but my car is DSOM and they are getting rid of that color for 2007. My God, buy the time I go to sell the car I'll have to pay someone to take it. I better get some drilled rotors and emblems so I can trick some people. Wait, my tranny is junk too, it's geared slightly different than the Z51, now I'm really screwed. Oh, I have a solution for that, I have the same non-Z51 tranny that goes in the Z06, maybe I can bride people with that.
I've also decided to save the geritol to try to sell it to offset my loss.
