compare Z06 to my modded vert
Drove a GM engr Z06 this week to compare to my modded vert. I have cartex stage 2x heads & cam, stinger, Kooks, High flow cats, corsa sport, 4.10 differential. Bottom line is my car which dynoed at 452 RWHP felt significantly stronger than Z06 so I was real

It's no secret that you can mod a base Corvette to be equal or better than a Z06. But like I like to say to my buddies, "how many stock Z06's are there"? Those are the ones to watch out for.

Local Chev salesman was trying to talk me into a new Z06. Looks aside, for the difference in $$, I'd much rather spend it mod'ing my C6 Z51.
A similarly mod'd C6/Z06 would be faster than my C6/Z51 - but @ $20K+ more than what I'll have into mine.

The 4.10 differential is probably what makes it "feel" quicker. It would be interesting to see how they run side-by-side. I have found many times that "feel" is not always an accurate indication. No doubt, with your mods and rwhp your car could be faster, but I just wouldn't go by feel alone.
