No. Someone else had posted one about three weeks ago as I recall. I'm still not convinced that the problem hasn't been corrected on the 06. There are so many other possibilities like bad batteries and that stupid interior light switch that can cause it. It does not seem as prevalent as on the 05 MN6 cars.
We really need information about how your car is set up. There have been one or two posts reporting dead batteries in 2006 cars but both, I believe, were automatics. That's not what is typically considered DBS, since DBS has always been associated with the shift to reverse and/or steering column lock features on 2005 MN6 cars.
An occasional bad battery is what is currently thought to be the cause of these odd occurrences. Yours may or may not fall into that category. Again, please provide more information about the car and the circumstances so we can get a better idea of what actually happened here.
This sounds more like a weak battery than DBS. From my readings the real DBS can occure in about 24 hours of parking. Indicating some form of continous electrical draw. Your situation is more in keeping with a weak battery in a car that sat for 2 weeks, that could occur on any car.
I've followed this very close knowing I'd be buying a C6. I just ordered a 06 C6.
Good luck getting the dealer to do anything. I'm guessing once you get the car started and the battery charged it'll be fine.
Any more info on this car? MN or Auto? Have you charged it or taken it to the dealer? Inquiring minds want to know if this really is DBS on a 2006 or not.
They don't know what the problem is/was, so they can't correct it. No matter what they say. It just sucks.
100%. How can they correct it if they don't know what causes it?
This case, just like the other reported '06 cases mentioned above by StanNH, , probably won't go down as classic Dead Battery Syndrome. Even those this battery is as dead as any of the others reported in the '05 cars.
Also, I thought that DBS occured 2 days or more after the car had been sitting.

Purchased 11/26/05. Odometer now reads 254 Miles. Had car on Battery Tender for a couple of weeks after purchase. Took it out two weeks ago, everything was fine. Did not put back on Battery Tender. Tried to start this morning, would not crank. Then, not enough power to even open doors. Lights would flash and got some strange noises from inside the car. Jumped battery with our other car. After a few minutes of charging, car fired up. Got several DIC messages (Service Active Handling; Service Vehicle Soon). Messages disappeared after turning car off, restarting several times. Now, all seems to be OK. Voltage readout 14.2 while driving. Car has NOT been back to the dealer...yet.
It does sound like a bad battery cell, rather than classic DBS. You really should let the dealer check out the car and replace the battery if necessary.
Not DBS. If it were classic DBS, your car would act like an inert hunk of steel (and plastic/fiberglass) after 3 days: no lights, no nothing. The fact that there was any sign of life at all proves this isn't the classic DBS. Could be some "new" strain of DBS I guess.

Probably having on the Battery Tender before just disguised the problem.

I had what I thought was DBS a week ago. I had driven the car on Sunday for a couple of hours; then washed and Zaino'd it. The car sat on Monday and Tuesday. When I went to start it on Tuesday night, it would not start although the doors opened, the interior lights came on and the radio worked. When I pressed the Start button, it would emit a series of clicks and then nothing. Called AAA to jump it and then drove around for 45 minutes and then parked it again.
I had an appointment on Thursday to have the Nav software update done along with an oil change and included the dead battery to repair order. According the Corvette tech, he did not find any fault codes and the battery was putting out 700 CCA. Nothing has happened since then, but I am always a bit hesitant when I go to start it now.
