Default lowering vett

Does anyone have pic's on how to install lowering bolts on the c-6. What has to be removed to accomplish the install? Thanks in advance.

I don't have any pictures but it is rather straightforward. (You may have received instructions with the new bolts but here is a summary.)

First, measure the distance from the ground to the wheel well lip of each wheel and record it on paper.

Next - and this is VERY IMPORTANT - disconnect the sway bar brackets to release the sway bars. You don't have to do this but you may be in a position where the bar is working against you. Don't disconnect the ends of the bar - just the brackets. It is not difficult.

Remove the lower shock mount bolt.

Remove the lower ball joint nut. (You will probably not be able to get an impact wrench on this and maybe not even a socket. But, a wrench will do the job. It's not real tight.)

Pull down the lower control arm to allow you to unscrew the existing lowering bolt.

Put a generous amount of silicone lubricant on the pad of the new lowering bolt and put some on the lower control arm where it has contact with the pad.

I turned the rears almost all the way in and left about a 1/4" gap on the fronts. You can work from there to achieve your preferred height.

Another tip: Drive the car a few miles before measuring it again. It will settle a LOT. Don't panic if the car looks like it is sitting higher.

Don't be intimidated. I'm a moron and I did it without any major damage to the car or me.

Here is a link to another thread with some pictures of the adjustment method:
