I was reading a tech bulletin LINK on the new DEXRON VI Automatic Transmission Fluid stating all the improvments form DEXRON®-III. Have anyone does this change in the MN6?
Well, all of the improvements were specifically for an Automatic trans, so I'm not too worried about upgrading. Also, it appearanty won't be readily available for some time.
IMHO, it is basically a deal so that GM can get more money from Licensing. Every oil company that uses the Dexron name has to pay them an annual fee, which I'm sure only get's more expensive with new products.

For 2006, only the automatic uses DEXRON VI ATF.
The 2006 MN6 manual 6-speed uses DEXRON®-III Automatic Transmission Fluid, with the Approved H-Specification, just as in 2005.
